Kanye’s New Artists
December 30, 2008
Mr. Hudson, a London-based singer/songwriter/producer, is one of the latest signees to Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label. He co-produced, co-wrote several tracks and sang on “Paranoid” for Kanye’s 808s and Heartbreak. This is “There Will Be Tears” off his upcoming album.
This is the other big signee to G.O.O.D., Kid Cudi. He is a rapper/singer from Cleveland and also worked on the 808s album, co-writing and singing on some tracks. HereĀ is “Embrace the Martian” off Cudi’s mixtape, A Kid Named Cudi.
Thanks Sasha!

I’m also a big fan of the following, about which Frere-Jones has already had the final word: “You may dream of this video, but the dream won’t be as good because it won’t be this video.” I present to you Chris Dane Owens, and the music video for his inspiring tune, “Shine On Me.” Remember, kids, love has enemies…
Bathroom Monologue

I find these very charming and interesting. This is the great author Henry Miller showing and explaining the various pictures and clippings on his bathroom wall at the famed house in Big Sur, California where he lived the last 40 years of his life. I am half-way through Tropic of Cancer and enjoying it immensely.
