Ralph Ellison’s Endless Blues

Well worth a read: Stanley Crouch’s piece at the Daily Beast on Ralph Ellison and the posthumous publication of Three Days Before the Shooting…, Ellison’s unfinished follow-up to Invisible Man (one of my all-time favorites). Crouch is refreshingly blunt in his opinions: “There is never anything more unforgivable in the United States than good taste and imposing, undeniable talent.” 🙂
